Furcellaria lumbricalis is a red-coloured algae that grows on rocks off the northern coast of Scandinavia. Also known as Carrageen, Agar-agar or ""Crab Bed, this hardy algae can survive low tides and dry conditions thanks to its superior rehydration capabilities.
