Glycolic Acid, an Alpha Hydroxy Acid, helps to boost the natural exfoliation process in the skin. It effectively removes dry, dead skin cells at the surface of the skin and allows for the generation of fresh, new skin cells. This helps to restore radiance while minimising the appearance of age spots, uneven skin tone and blemishes.

Almonds are the source for one of beauty’s most soothing and nourishing ingredients, sweet almond oil. Produced from the almond tree’s fruit, almond oil has superb moisturising properties for skin, hair and nails and is protective and hydrating, thanks to its vitamin A, B and E content. The almond fruit itself is a multi-purpose beauty ingredient – we also use almond shell powder in our cosmetics for its natural, exfoliating action.

As a fast, effective chemical exfoliator, it encourages cell turnover, weakening the bonds between dead skin cells so they slough off evenly to reveal fresh, new skin beneath. Glycolic acid is in the AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) family of exfoliating acids, along with Lactic and Malic acids. Being the smallest molecule of all the AHAs, it easily penetrates skin and gets to work fast.
