Salicylic Acid 
The BHA Salicylic Acid resurfaces and deeply purifies skin to help clear and prevent breakouts. It decongests pores of the debris that can cause blemishes, like dead skin cells, dirt and excess oil, and constricts pores to help prevent them from becoming clogged again. It also helps to regulate sebum production and to inhibit the proliferation of bacteria. 
 
Mandelic Acid 
The AHA Mandelic Acid helps to loosen the bonds between dead skin cells to promote cellular turnover, leaving newer, fresher cells on the surface of the skin. It also has anti-bacterial properties, helping to inhibit blemish-causing bacterial growth on the surface of the skin.

Glycolic acid is a repairer of sun-damaged skin and an essential ingredient for brightening and evening out skin tone. As a fast and effective chemical exfoliant, it stimulates cell renewal, weakening the bonds between dead skin cells so that they slough off evenly to reveal fresh, new skin underneath. Glycolic acid is in the AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) family of exfoliating acids, along with lactic and malic acids. Being the smallest molecule of all the AHAs, it penetrates the skin easily and starts working quickly.

A form of Vitamin B3, also known by the name Nicotinamide, this is a true skin-enhancing all-rounder that plays a central role in DNA repair and helps restore cellular energy. With an impressive ability to reinforce the skin barrier (the outermost layer of your skin), it increases skin-essential ceramides, protects from external environmental damage and reduces loss of moisture. 

Salicylic acid is a recognised ally in the fight against blemishes and an excellent ally for clear, healthy skin. It is a BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid), exfoliating, smoothing and cleansing the skin of dead cells. Being oil-soluble means that salicylic acid can reach deep into the pore, cutting through sebum (oil) and clearing away pore-clogging debris that can cause blemishes to develop. 

Ascorbic acid or vitamin C is a skin lightening powerhouse and one of the most researched and science-backed ingredients in skincare. As well as whitening the skin, it is a powerful antioxidant. Your skin needs to produce collagen, a structural protein that supports the skin, keeping it smooth and firm. Vitamin C increases the production of skin lipids which are so essential for maintaining moisture levels, flexibility and for strengthening the barrier.
