1. DEWY AND EXFOLIATED FINISH
The first step to a dewy finish is to help your skin soak up moisture properly. Make sure to remove makeup with a moisturising cleanser and take your time to properly exfoliate. For best result, use a cleansing brush that deeply cleanses and gently massages the skin. Choose a skin cream that focuses on moisture, and use a facial scrub once a week to smoothen and thoroughly exfoliate your skin to bring out your radiant self.
2. MOISTURISED SKIN
Matte skin is always a hit, but when it comes to a mature skin it might be a good idea to go easy on the powder. Powders can make your skin look dull and give you a cake-like finish that enhances wrinkles and fine lines. Instead, go for a hydrating CC cream with medium coverage that has perfecting and illuminating properties. These will minimise lines give your skin a fresh and youthful look.
3. NEUTRAL AND GLOSSY LIPS
A shiny lip might remind you of your pre-teen years, but as a matter of fact, gloss is hotter than ever and can actually work to your advantage! Applying a few layers of high shine gloss can make your lips appear plumper and give them a great youthful fullness. Focus on using soft peach or pink colours, and dab it on top of a neutral lipstick or use it on it’s own. Either way, we promise it’ll make your lips pop!
4. DEFINED BROWS
Even if your brows might have lost a little volume over the years, there’s plenty of smart tools and products to create the illusion of full, lushious brows. If you feel you have a few sparse and patchy spots, try a brow shadow kit to define, shape and hold your brows in place. A fuller brow will accentuate your face and give it an immediate lift!
5. SCULPTED HIGHLIGHTER
A little radiance can get you a long way. Along with giving your skin a nice glow, highlighter can be used to sculpt and contour the face. To avoid a cakey effect, use a creamy highlighter. Try to stay away from glitter as this will only enhance fine lines. Instead, go for a subtle shimmery shade. Start by adding a cream illuminator on your upper cheekbones, chin, upper lip and above your eyebrows. To brighten up your eye area, add some more along the brow bone and apply a small amount in the inner and outer corner of your eyes as a finishing touch.
6. FRESH ROSY CHEEKS
Few things look as luminous as a fresh pair of rosy cheeks. Whatever temperature surrounds you, there is always a way to brighten up and rejuvenate mature skin by adding a little colour. Choose a blush that compliments your skin’s undertone; fair skin is best complimented by baby pink or peach tones, medium skin tones are nicely enhanced by orange or mauve hues and dark skin is best complimented by terra-cotta or raisin shades.
7. HIGH PONYTAILS
Looking for a free face lift? Grab your bobble and pull back those lovely locks of yours. Pulling your hair upwards smooths the lines around your eyes and accentuates your cheekbones. It will really give a great illusion of a slimmer and firmer face. It also looks super chic at any age and compliments multiple outfits.
