Step-by-step: Geometric Block Nails

Colour blocking is a fun, modern look that really stands out with contrasting colours. Follow our four simple steps, to see how easy it is to achieve this nail look at home!

1. APPLY BASE COAT
Start by choosing three contrasting nail polish colours. The bolder the colour choices are, the more your nails will pop! Start by painting your nails with a light base colour. This will allow the other colours to really stand out. Let dry.

2. DRAW A VERTICAL LINE
Now, paint an angled vertical line down the centre of your nail, using colour number two. Remember that it's always better to apply several thin layers, than one thick layer of polish. Also, thin coats dry much faster and are less likely to smudge than what thick layers are.

3. DRAW A TRIANGLE
Using colour number three, paint a triangle within the block you just painted. For extra precision, use a nail polish brush made for nail art and cut an old brush to size. This will give you sharp edges and make the final details as neat as possible.

4. APPLY TOP COAT
Finish by applying a layer of top coat for extra shine!
