Step-By-Step: the New French Manicure

For a très chic twist on the timeless French manicure, look no further than our nail art tutorial.

1

BASE COAT

Start off by painting one layer of a base coat. Then choose two complementary polish colors that will look great on the same nail. We picked peach and red.

2

BASE COLOUR

Apply two coats of your chosen basecoat color and allow the polish to dry.

3

CUT YOUR BRUSH

To draw your French manicure tips you’ll need a skinny brush for a precise application, so take an old nail polish brush and cut it in half.

4

THE FRENCH TIP

Dip the cut brush into your second nail polish colour of choice, and then paint your tip horizontally, from one side to the other; apply two coats. If necessary tidy up any excess polish with a Q-tip dipped in nail polish remover.

  5

TOP COAT

Allow the polish to dry completely, and then seal the look with a layer of clear, topcoat for extra stay and shine. Voila!
