1. DANCE CLASS
Dancing as a pair doesn’t just promote healthy living, it promotes a healthy relationship too. Not only will you be holding one another close, you’ll have to communicate and work as a team if you want to get your moves down!
2. BOXING
A growing number of men and women are taking-up boxing to improve their over-all body fitness, strength, balance and coordination. So, if you’re looking for a challenging workout this could be it. Jabbing as a couple is a great way to relieve stress, and the production of “happy” endorphins will ensure you both leave the ring in a good mood.
3. RACKET SPORTS
Racket sports – like squash, tennis, badminton or even ping pong – are fun sports to practice a deux. If you’re new to the sport, why not hire a coach to teach you both the basics? Or, join a club where you can play against other couples and make it a social event.
4. ACROYOGA
AcroYoga is a partner-based practice that combines - as the name suggests - acrobatics and yoga. As many of the poses require you to lift or be lifted by your partner, you’ll need to trust one another and work as a team; be prepared to work hard and laugh even harder!
5. WALKING
Going for a walk is perhaps the most straight-forward exercise of all. It’s free, requires no equipment and you can challenge yourself as much (or as little) as you want to. If you can, try to get away from the city and head into nature instead – it’s proven to reduce stress-levels and boost your mood. Free from distractions, you can enjoy one another’s company as you get healthy.
